NBA Voting Update: All the momentum on the player side today indicates that the union, through a vote of team player representatives, is poised to ratify the NBA's plan to open training camps Dec. 1 and start the 2020-21 season Dec. 22 by week's end.

ANALYSIS: The NBA and NBPA are expected to come to an agreement on the CBA before the Nov. 6th deadline (Friday). The NBA was projected to lose up to $1 billion if they started the season in January. With a Dec. 22nd start date for the 2020-21 season, the league will go through a very rushed free agency and offseason period.

The NBA draft is scheduled to take place Nov. 18 with free agency expected to happen just 48-72 hours after the draft. Training camp would then open up on Dec. 1st in preparation for a Dec. 22nd tip-off
