Kristaps Porzingis (knee) on track for January return

Rick Carlisle said Tuesday the 7-3 center’s (Kristaps Porzingis) rehabilitation from knee surgery has “gone well and without issue.”

Carlisle emphasized Porzingis won’t be cleared to return to live games until January at the earliest. He doesn’t expect to have another update until then.

ANALYSIS: After undergoing surgery on his torn meniscus back in October, Porzingis is doing well in rehab and is on track for a return sometime in January. This is obviously great news for Mavericks fans as Dallas is a much more complete team when Kristaps is on the court. Porzingis is able to alleviate pressure from Luka Doncic as he is another guy that can create his own shot and catch fire in a hurry.
