Hornets' Gordon Hayward 'day-to-day' with hip strain

Gordon Hayward (hip strain) is highly unlikely to play tonight, per Hornets coach James Borrego. Does Borrego expect Hayward to miss Saturday vs. Raptors, too? "Right now it's a day-to-day issue," Borrego said.

ANALYSIS: Hornets' forward Gordon Hayward left Wednesday's game vs. the Mavericks after suffering an injury to his left hip and will miss Thursday's game against the Raptors. Hayward, who is now in jeopardy of missing Saturday's game vs. Toronto, has been great for the Hornets this year averaging 22.0 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 34 minutes per game. Hayward also put up a career high 44 points earlier this season.

The Hornets sit at .500 with a 6-6 record and seventh in the Eastern Conference.
