Nate McMillan fined $25K for comments asserting league bias in playoffs

Hawks head coach Nate McMillan has been fined $25,000 for detrimental public comments asserting bias by the NBA relating to the 2020-21 playoffs.

ANALYSIS: Hawks coach Nate McMillan made the remarks publicly to the media on May 19th. McMillan made comments suggesting that the NBA 'wanted' the Knicks in the playoffs because it's good for the league. And McMillan continued by saying there's probably going to be calls that don't go their way because of the league's bias towards the Knicks.
