Clippers close to hiring G League Ignite coach Brian Shaw as assistant

The Los Angeles Clippers are in serious talks to hire NBA G League Ignite coach Brian Shaw as an assistant coach on Ty Lue’s staff, sources tell The Athletic.

ANALYSIS: Shaw coached the G League's prospect program in its inaugural season, leading potential NBA Draft picks Jalen Green, Jonathan Kuminga, Isaiah Todd and Daishen Nix. Before last season, he had spent over a decade as an NBA assistant with the Lakers, Nuggets and Pacers.
