LeBron James' Ex-Teammate Calls Out Fan For Michael Jordan & Kobe Bryant Take

When thinking about who the NBA GOAT is, some of the top names that come to mind are LeBron James, Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bryant.

Arguably, everybody's GOAT, Jordan, became a pop culture icon from the 80s to the early 2000s. He helped put the NBA on the map as it evolved into the global sensation it is today.

Then there's James, who has proven to be the best to ever do it because of his longevity and durability on the hardwood. Despite being 41 years old today, the King showed that age is just a number and is still keeping up with some of the league's brightest young stars.

Meanwhile, Bryant has built a career that mirrors Jordan's, bringing the "Mamba Mentality" that most players in the league today strive to embody. His greatness on the court has influenced many of the young stars in the league, which is a testament to what he has achieved during his playing career.

While there's no denying the greatness each player has showcased throughout their careers, James' former teammate, Channing Frye, has a slightly different opinion, particularly on Bryant.

In a recent episode of the "Road Trippin' Show," Frye responded to a fan's comment asking where he places Bryant on his all-time list. The fan added that Bryant was third on their list behind Jordan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Frye wasn't amused by the fan's list and said, "Well, Chris, you're f***ing stupid."

His main concern was why James wasn't on their list. He then justified that James should be at least second on the list, if not on top. Frye also noted that Bryant didn't make his top five list, but is ranked sixth.

"Because LeBron should either be one or two. I don't care what number that is, but he's one or two," he added. "You're not going to like my answer. ... Mike or Bron, one or two. Then Kareem, Tim Duncan, Magic. Then I have Kobe. So, that's where I have Kobe Bryant. I have him six."

While Frye's list may be up for debate, he simply jotted down the best player at every position. James at small forward, Jordan at shooting guard, Abdul-Jabbar at center, Duncan at power forward, and Magic Johnson at point guard. Whatever the case may be, the GOAT list will always be subjective. At the end of the day, it all comes down to one's preference.

LeBron James Shares His Thoughts on GOAT Debate

When it comes to the world of sports, it's inevitable for fans to debate over who the greatest of all time is. In the case of the NBA, two names that often get compared to each other are LeBron James and Michael Jordan.

Before James came into the league in 2003, many believed that Jordan was the GOAT. His undefeated NBA Finals streak and gravity-defying dunks are what made the sport popular internationally, making him the poster boy of basketball.

However, when James began his NBA career, he eventually caught up to some of Jordan's records and shattered them. He also set his own records that are seemingly impossible to reach, at least for now.

With that in mind, many now argue that James should be crowned the GOAT over Jordan. This has led to a never-ending debate among basketball fans.

Meanwhile, in an interview with ESPN, the King himself addressed the GOAT debate and explained why it shouldn't exist.

"I never have compared myself to MJ because our games are totally different," James said. "I have been a point-forward/forward-point my whole life. I have always looked for the pass. MJ kind of looked for the shot. Not kind of, he did. He looked for the shot."

"There are a lot of things where I would say my game is a lot different and a little better than his, but s**t, he was f***ing great," James added. "We're both great. We're both great basketball players."

Likely, Jordan fans and critics won't take James' comments too kindly. However, there's no denying that James and Jordan have been influential in basketball in their own way, and it would be nice if people could enjoy the greatness they both showcased in their careers.
