James hasn't yet announced what he'll do next, but some fans believe that a leak just happened. Nike just re-released the 'Good Intentions' shirt, which is associated with his move in 2010 to the Miami Heat.

Following the sports brand apparel giant's decision to re-release this design, some fans began to believe that Nike had accidentally leaked James' next move.

Further fueling that speculation is a viral post from an Instagram account called 'jukedly,' which claimed it was an error on Nike's end, prematurely announcing where James is headed.

While the post suggests it is a leak from Nike, there is no evidence to support that claim. In fact, the post wrongly states that Nike just recently posted it and then took down the product moments after releasing it, which is false.

In fact, this design was teased in December 2025, with an initial release date set for 2026. Both dates that came long before anyone knew James was not re-signing with the Lakers.

Checking the product on the company's official site shows it is still available, except for all sizes from double XL and up. It is also on sale for up to 38 percent. If it were a new set of shirts, it likely wouldn't be selling for such a huge discount.

Additionally, the shirt's design features a burning Cleveland Cavaliers jersey, which makes no sense in context since he's leaving the Los Angeles Lakers.

James joining the Miami Heat remains possible this summer. However, a shirt being re-released by Nike even before the 41-year-old himself announces his move is likely not how the news will be broken.

Although this isn't the first time fans thought that a leak regarding James' move happened recently.

Fans were caught off guard when the Miami Heat shared a YouTube link to a livestream scheduled for July 27, 2026. It wasn't the fact that the Heat were doing a livestream, but it was the title that surprised people.

The post was called 'LeBron James Introductory Press Conference,' which, of course, fueled those looking for any hint of what James would do this summer.

Later, the post was taken down, but it was too late. The Heat themselves would clarify that this was a mistake made by their social media team.

The livestream, however, was in place in case the four-time NBA champion decided to sign with them this summer and they needed to host a press conference.

While there are still no credible leaks or hints about James' next move, this recent string of events has likely made the Heat the frontrunners in the hearts and minds of a few people.

If he does decide to return to the Heat this year, many can also point to these things as actual, surefire indicators that cynics were too blind to see.
