The Pelicans have traded the No. 53 pick in the NBA Draft to Philadelphia for cash considerations.

ANALYSIS: This isn't exactly a blockbuster move, but it is the first draft-day trade of the morning. Phlly already possessed the No. 50 pick, so now it holds two second-round selections in close proximity along with its No. 28 overall pick.
