NBA, NBPA holding preliminary meeting on CBA

A new ESPN report states that the NBA and National Basketball Players Association are holding a preliminary meeting in Boston on Wednesday on the collective bargaining agreement. Both sides can opt our of the current deal in December and they are preparing for serious talks on a new CBA in the next few months.

ANALYSIS: The current CBA officially expires after the 2023-24 season, but both sides have an opt-out they can exercise in December. Another note is that the NBA's national television deals are set to expire after the 2024-25 season and the league is expecting a huge increase in rights fees.
