NBA fines Warriors owner Joe Lacob $500K for bargaining comments

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the NBA has fined Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob $500,000 for his recent comments about the league’s collective bargaining talks. Lacob made the comments on the "Point Forward Podcast" and described the league’s luxury tax system as “very unfair.”

The league does not allow owners or team officials from "unauthorized communications regarding collective bargaining". This is not the first time that Lacob has been fined for comments he has made. In 2021, he was fined him $50,000 for violating the league's anti-tampering rule when he commented that he had "absolutely no interested" in Ben Simmons who was then a member of the Philadelphia 76ers.
