The University of North Carolina has hired Hubert Davis to coach the men's basketball team.

ANALYSIS: Davis will replace legendary coach Roy Williams, who retired this past week. A former player for the Tar Heels, Davis has spent the past nine seasons as an assistant on the staff. He also spent 12 seasons in the NBA. Davis will look to bring UNC back to the NCAA Tournament after the team missed out in 2020-21.
