ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski announces sudden retirement

NBA breaking news reporting and journalism will never be the same again.

In a shocking move that rocked the NBA world, heralded NBA reporter Adrian Wojnarowski has decided to retire and step out of NBA reporting and journalism altogether after an illustrious career that spanned over 37 years.

ESPN’s head NBA reporter and insider announced his decision via X in a heartfelt message felt around the NBA landscape.

“I’ve decided to retire from ESPN and the news industry,” Wojnarowski revealed in his letter. “I understand the commitment required in my role and it’s an investment that I’m no longer driven to make. Time isn’t in endless supply and I want to spend mine in ways that are more personally meaningful.”

“Woj”, as he is fondly known by his peers and the entire NBA media, teams, and players, is most known for his ‘Woj bombs’ as the main source of NBA insider info and being probably the best breaking news reporter over the past few years. He leaves NBA news reporting a huge gap considering how he has changed the landscape over time, as he’s considered the best and most trusted source of all things NBA.

Following his retirement from ESPN, Wojnarowski will assume the general manager position for the St. Bonaventure’s Men’s Basketball program – his alma mater.

In this new position, Woj will handle NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) allocation and recruiting efforts for the Bonnies. He’ll also work closely with head coach Mark Schmidt to further elevate the program.
