Without further ado, let’s dive into our favorite NBA betting plays for Sunday's slate.
Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Memphis Grizzlies (-14)
As longtime listeners of “Nothing But Bets” know by now, when we see a huge spread with the Thunder as underdogs, we’re jumping on it immediately. All season long, this strategy with Oklahoma City has been printing us money from sportsbooks. At home, especially with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander playing incredible as of late, this is too many points Vegas is providing against the Thunder. Although the Grizzlies have been awesome, we’re not bailing on this strategy. If anything, this feels like the perfect time to bet once more with our Thunder.
Pick: Thunder +14
PrizePicks Power Play: Ja Morant over 27.5 points, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander over 26.5 points, Darius Bazley over 11.5 points, Steven Adams over 10.5 rebounds
Atlanta Hawks (-12) vs. Indiana Pacers
The Pacers are coming off a surprising win over the San Antonio Spurs, but now this is the second night of a back-to-back against Trae Young’s Hawks. Young should feast against the tanking Pacers, who most certainly are not trying to win games right now. Expect the Hawks’ high-flying offense to put on a Sunday matinee in Atlanta, so we’re betting big on a cover here. If Young gets going early, we feel very confident in this projection being right on the money. Hammer Atlanta and don’t think twice about it.
Pick: Hawks -12
PrizePicks Power Play: Trae Young over 28.5 points, Tyrese Haliburton over 17.5 points, Clint Capela over 11.5 rebounds, Buddy Hield over 4.5 assists
Phoenix Suns (-8.5) vs. Los Angeles Lakers
LeBron James has been incredible carrying this Lakers team as of late, but even his heroics might not be enough against the juggernaut Suns. Whoever Phoenix has faced all season long, they have taken care of business. We expect nothing different on Sunday when this fun rivalry is restored in the Valley. LeBron will get his points, but the Suns’ well-balanced attack on both ends of the court will overwhelm this mightily inconsistent Lakers squad. Lock in the Suns as a “Nothing But Bets” best bet for Sunday night.
Pick: Suns -8.5
PrizePicks Power Play: LeBron James over 29.5 points, Devin Booker over 26.5 points, Russell Westbrook over 16.5 points, Deandre Ayton over 10.5 rebounds
