ANALYSIS: According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Chicago will be able to extend a $9 million qualifying offer to make Markkanen a restricted free agent. This could be a wait and see situation considering Billy Donovan just got to town, and he spoke highly of the Finnish big man during his introductory press conference. There may not be enough of a sample size for him and the new front office to come to a sound decision yet, but Karnisovas and Marc Eversley will have to make a choice soon.
