ANALYSIS: With the recent league-wide COVID-19 outbreaks, teams have used the hardship exception to scoop up dozens on G League players on 10-day contracts. This undoubtedly impacts the G League rosters and available players. With no short-term end in sight, the league will have to find a way for the G League to navigate the loss of talent until the pandemic surge subsides.
