Jerami Grant out at least six weeks after thumb surgery

The Detroit Pistons' leading scorer, Jerami Grant, underwent surgery on Friday to repair a torn ligement in his right thumb. The initial projection on the timetable for Grant's injury was four-to-six weeks, but now it has increased.

ANALYSIS: Grant will be out right up until February's trade deadline after undergoing surgery, but trade discusssions will continue on for the versatile two-way wing. During his tenure with the Pistons, Grant has showcased an ability to score with increased usage averaging 21.6 points per game.
