Brunson led the league in clutch scoring, amassing 156 points with a 51.5% field goal percentage in clutch situations—defined as the final five minutes of the fourth quarter or overtime when the score is within five points.
Competing against finalists Nikola Jokić of the Denver Nuggets and Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Brunson's consistent late-game excellence secured him the award.
This accolade marks the third year of the NBA's Clutch Player of the Year award, with Brunson joining previous winners De'Aaron Fox and Stephen Curry.
