Many are already looking forward to the 2026-27 season. One of the major reasons is the Philadelphia 76ers. After the acquisition of both Jaylen Brown and LeBron James, the 76ers have suddenly skyrocketed into the top contender in the Eastern Conference. Brown and James are set to join the All-Star duo of Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.

While many are already anticipating how the Sixers will make their way to the NBA Finals in 2027, Brown himself is apparently looking at a future in which his new team wins the championship. In a recent Twitch stream by Brown, he shared with his followers how he already has championship plans for the 76ers.

"I told the team, I told VJ (Edgecomb), (Tyrese Maxey), LeBron (James), and (Joel) Embiid, and you can ask them, if we win a championship, everybody is going skydiving," Brown said.

Brown then revealed how LeBron responded to the idea of skydiving.

"Bron texted me back and said, 'Boy, h*ll no!'" Brown hilariously shared.

Based on current sportsbook odds, the 76ers sit around +900 to +1,000 to win the 2027 title- putting them among the top four favorites, alongside the Thunder, Spurs, and defending-champion Knicks.

For now, everything remains to be seen. Many analysts are more concerned about the team's chemistry and defensive depth than its star power. With NBA training camp roughly two months away, Embiid, Maxey, Brown, and LeBron will soon start figuring out how to share the floor.

LeBron James' decision to join the Philadelphia 76ers was a huge curveball to many. Now set to team up with Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey, his new teammates are already looking forward to playing alongside "the King." During a recent Twitch livestream, Brown opened up about his excitement to play with James and made clear that much of it comes down to the chance to learn from him.

"I'm super excited for the upcoming season. We've got Bron and like, what an opportunity that is," Brown said, adding that despite the noise and media attention the season will bring, he's most looking forward to what he can pick up from playing alongside one of the greatest players of all time.

While it remains to be seen how it plays out, it seems like James is already leaning into a mentorship role in Philadelphia. LeBron surprisingly agreed to a two-year, $8 million deal- a historic pay cut from the $52.6 million he made last season with the Lakers, and one no team could have realistically topped given the cap situations around the league. NBA insider Shams Charania also reported that the 76ers plan to use LeBron at point guard, making him the offense's primary initiator so he can set up Brown, Embiid, and Maxey.
