Kevin Durant is best known as one of the most elite scorers in league history. However, he has also established a reputation as one of the most active social media users among his peers in the NBA.

He isn't afraid to share his takes or even debate fans, especially on X (formerly Twitter). Some of his posts even go viral, and his latest one is no exception. This time, it's on Instagram, where he's gone viral after candidly going after two sports analysts.

The 2014 MVP answered a post asking which one of Charles Barkley, Shaquille O'Neal, Stephen A. Smith, Shannon Sharpe, Skip Bayless, Max Kellerman, Kendrick Perkins, Nick Wright, and Colin Cowherd has to go.

First, Durant chose Cowherd with a scathing remark.

"Pack that lame @colincowherd up," Durant posted via his IG Stories.

He immediately followed up with another post, this time going after Wright.

"Basketball would actually move forward if @getnickwright wasn't involved. Hold up," Durant said.

So far, neither Cowherd nor Wright has responded. In case they do, people can expect Durant to fire back again, which could turn this into another online analyst vs. player feud.

The media have always been heavily invested in Durant's social media activity, especially when he posts on X. Over the years, he's made a few posts on his main accounts that have caught the attention of many in the NBA.

Aside from that, allegations that he has burner accounts have long been thrown at him. These accusations initially surfaced in 2017, and he eventually confirmed in 2019 that he did, in fact, have one.

In 2023, he teased fans on X by saying that he has a burner account on 'Threads.'

During the 2026 All-Star break, the same allegations surfaced, with people accusing him of bashing teammates. When asked about it afterward, he offered only a non-response.

Interestingly, he has not been afraid to get into feuds with analysts on social media. He even had a well-documented one against another analyst who also happened to be his former teammate, Kendrick Perkins.

Kevin Durant Has Beefed With Kendrick Perkins on Social Media

Kevin Durant choosing Colin Cowherd and Nick Wright as analysts he wanted gone might have been a twist for some, considering Kendrick Perkins was also on the list.

Fans who've followed Durant for years now would know that Perkins is one of the people with whom the Houston Rockets star has had arguments in the past.

Their online back-and-forth began in January 2020, when Perkins announced on X that he was going on SportsCenter to explain why Russel Westbrook was the greatest player ever to wear an Oklahoma City Thunder jersey.

This sparked a debate between Boston Celtics insider Marc D'Amico, who said that, as great as Westbrook was, he did not deserve that distinction.

He cited that after Durant left the franchise, the Thunder had first-round exits in three consecutive years. Perkins countered by saying the Thunder suffered a second-round exit while he and Durant were still there.

At this point, Durant jumped in, sarcastically pointing out that Perkins had poor statistics when he was with the Thunder. This was then countered by Perkins, who called Durant's decision to join the Golden State Warriors the weakest move in NBA history.

Their feud has cooled over the years, but the two still occasionally take jabs at one another.
