After a 13-month saga in which Giannis Antetokounmpo repeatedly expressed he wouldn't sign a contract extension, the Bucks finally traded him to the Miami Heat on Monday. And it looks like Antetokounmpo is already familiarizing himself with the Heat's memo, as he showed up to support A'ja Wilson.

Shortly after news of the former Milwaukee Bucks forward joining Miami, Giannis Antetokounmpo was spotted in the stands cheering alongside Bam Adebayo for Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces.

"Giannis already got the Miami Heat's memo to support A'ja's Aces," SportsCenter wrote in the caption while posting a clip of Antetokounmpo in the audience on June 24.

The Heat's newest forward and his family accompanied Adebayo to the Aces game against the New York Liberty on Tuesday. Wilson, the 2025 WNBA MVP, and Jackie Young led the charge, scoring 16 and 19 points, respectively. However, the Liberty proved to be too much, as they beat the Aces 87-76.

While the WNBA season is in full swing, the 2026-27 NBA season is still months away, and Giannis Antetokounmpo has the time to settle into the Heat's system.

After all, analysts expect Antetokounmpo to form one of the NBA's standout defensive big tandems with Bam Adebayo. The 28-year-old is a high-IQ player who can create shots and anchor bench lineups, and Antetokounmpo can benefit from that.

However, one analyst suggests that the Heat still need to sign another player to their roster to have a shot at the NBA Championship.

NBA Insider Suggests the Heat need one more piece after Giannis Antetokounmpo

Miami's current roster is very reminiscent of the 'Heatles' era when LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh were running the show. The 'Heatles' were downhill players who were effective at getting to the rim.

Antetokounmpo and Adebayo have those qualities. However, NBA insider Chris Broussard believes they need LeBron James to complete the trio.

"If I were Miami, I would definitely go after (LeBron James)," Broussard said on First Things First.

"I would try to pitch him like, 'Hey, you went back to Cleveland, got your ring there, come back here, get us a ring.' It would have a lot of value even though Giannis would be the best player on the team.LeBron would be going back there and be the quarterback, which is what they need."

While the idea of seeing LeBron put on a Heat jersey sounds fun, it's a long shot from happening. Miami is currently over the salary cap, leaving the mid-level exception as James' only option if he decides to go back to South Beach.

The most efficient way they could acquire James is if they get him to agree to a sign-and-trade deal. In that case, LeBron will sign with the Lakers and get traded to the Heat. Meanwhile, Miami would potentially ship Wiggins in exchange.
