Wizards star Bradley Beal has entered health and safety protocols at Team USA camp, placing his return to play status up in the air, sources tell me and @joevardon.

ANALYSIS: Tim Reynolds of AP Sports added that Bradley Beal has indeed entered the health/safety protocols while in Vegas, raising the possibility that he may not be able to attend the Tokyo Games, but there is nothing definitive about that at this point. This could be potentially crushing for Team USA, as they have already had a hard time scoring the ball in their exhibition games, and without starting shooting guard Bradley Beal, things may only get more difficult.
