No. 15 Saint Peter's upsets No. 2 Kentucky 85-79 in overtime

On Thursday, No. 15 Saint Peter's pulled off a shocking upset over No. 2 Kentucky, winning 85-79 in overtime. The Wildcats were a popular pick to go deep in the 2022 NCAA Tournament, so this loss busted plenty of brackets across the nation.

Daryl Banks III led the way for Saint Peter's with 27 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists (while shooting 9-of-19 shooting from the field, 5-of-8 from three and 4-of-4 from the free-throw line). Doug Edert chipped in 20 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in 25 minutes off the bench (shooting 5-of-7 from the field, 2-of-2 from three and 8-of-8 from the free-throw line).

Kentucky's Oscar Tshiebwe finished with 30 points, 16 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks (on 11-16 shooting from the field) in the losing effort. 2022 NBA Draft prospect TyTy Washington struggled in the loss, contributing just 5 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist (while shooting 2-of-10 from the field).

Saint Peter's will face the winner of San Francisco vs. Murray State.
