The Western Conference -- and the general NBA -- have a new top team for now.
Utah improved to 17-5 on Thursday night with a 112-91 win over the Atlanta Hawks, taking first place from the 17-6 Los Angeles Clippers, who play the Celtics on Friday.
The Jazz have now won 13 of their last 14 games in a meteoric rise to the top of the standings. On Thursday, they won every quarter en route to the dominant victory. The Hawks (10-12) were without Trae Young and De'Andre Hunter due to injuries.
Sixth-man spark Jordan Clarkson led Utah with 23 points off the bench, while Bojan Bogdanovic added 21 from the starting lineup. The Jazz shot a scorching 13-for-27 from long range in the win.
