The Utah Jazz have an agreement to trade Ed Davis to the New York Knicks, League Sources tell The Athletic.
Per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Utah is working to re-sign Jordan Clarkson and extensions are on the horizon for Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. The Jazz save $5 million in salary for 2020-2021. The Knicks also get two 2023 second-round picks from Utah to take on the salary.

ANALYSIS: According to Jones, the Jazz moving Davis to New York is a move designed to free up flexibility for roster building going forward, confirming what Wojnarowski is reporting. The veteran big man appeared in just 28 games last year, playing a career-low 10.8 minutes per contest in a reserve role.
