Tristan Thompson agrees to deal with Celtics
Free agent center Tristan Thompson has reached an agreement with the Boston Celtics, his agent Rich Paul of Klutch Sports tells Yahoo Sports.
ANALYSIS: For the
first time in his nine-year career Tristan Thompson will depart
Cleveland as a free agent. After trading away Enes Kanter and
losing Gordon Hayward in free agency, signing Thompson will give
the C's a veteran presence down low. Thompson continues to be
effective as a big man in the league and is coming off his
second-straight season averaging a double-double.
The deal is two-years worth $19M, reports The Athletic.
