Per league sources, the Detroit Pistons have picked up Sekou Doumbouya's team option for the 2021-22 season.

ANALYSIS: This should come as no suprise to anybody. Doumbouya is one of the few bright lights at the end of the tunnel that the Pistons' organization has on the team. The sophomore Frenchman came back more built this preseason, and his play has looked much improved. Against the Knicks in Detroit's second preseason game, Doumbouya dropped 23 points on 8-for-11 from the field, nabbed five rebounds and swatted two shots.
