Woj: Cade Cunningham to have season-ending surgery on left shin
Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham – the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft – plans to have season-ending surgery on his left shin. Cunningham is expected to make a full recovery ahead of training camp in 2023-2024, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

ANALYSIS: The Pistons are already among the worst teams in the NBA this season. Cunningham's season-ending surgery should also insure that it stays that way. Cunningham has not played since November 9, and has averaged 19.9 points, 6.2 assists, and six rebounds in 12 games this season. With him out, the Pistons will be competing for the number one pick in the draft.
