Spurs' Jakob Poeltl drawing plenty of trade interest

Plenty of teams around the NBA are interested in adding a center as the Feb. 9 trade deadline approaches.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that one center who's drawing plenty of interest is San Antonio Spurs big man Jakob Poeltl.

Wojnarowski says that Poeltl could be one of the "pivotal players" moved at the deadline, and that the Spurs could see some "real significant offers" for the big man.

The Spurs can only give Poeltl a four-year, $58 million extension right now, but the free agent-to-be will get more than that in the offseason.

Woj adds that the Spurs like Poeltl and would like to keep him, even if they win the Victor Wembanyama sweepstakes, but they could move him if an overwhelming offer comes. Poeltl is drawing interest from contenders looking to upgrade their frontcourt.

The 27-year-old is averaging 11.9 points and 9.5 rebounds on 62.4% shooting this season.
