Raptors signing Will Barton, waive Juancho Hernangomez

The Toronto Raptors are signing veteran Will Barton who will be playoff eligible, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

To make room for him on the roster, the Raptors are waiving Juancho Hernangomez reports Shams Charania of The Athletic

Barton and the Washington Wizards reached a buyout agreement last week, making him a free agent. He was traded to the Wizards over the summer and had a disappointing season in his hometown, averaging 7.7 points while shooting just 38.7% from the field.

In previous seasons, the 32-year-old was a solid player for the Denver Nuggets and the Raptors are hoping that a change of scenery will help the 32-year-old. Despite his struggles, he still connected on 38% from three-point range, something the Raptors desperately need as they rank 27th in the NBA from deep.
