Nuggets' Tim Connelly to become Wolves president of basketball ops

Denver Nuggets President Tim Connelly has agreed to a deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves to become their new President of Basketball Operations. He will reportedly sign a 5-year, $40M-plus deal that includes ownership equity that’ll make him one of the NBA’s highest compensated executives.

It's a huge move for the Timberwolves who were looking for some stability and a clear leader to run their front office. Connelly has been with Minnesota since June 2013.

The Athletic is reporting that Connelly met with Timberwolves minority owners Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez recently and then flew to Minnesota on Saturday to meet majority owner Glen Taylor to finalize the deal.
