Nets' Patty Mills declines option, becomes free agent

Brooklyn Nets guard Patty Mills has declined his $6.2M option and will become a free agent, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Mills is expected to have plenty of interest around the leahie but he could also return to the Nets. According to ESPN's Bobby Marks, the max Brooklyn can pay him is $7 million and the team would still have its $6.5M tax midlevel available.
