Pacers have 'serious interest' in Mike D'Antoni

"The Pacers are said to have serious interest in hiring [Mike] D’Antoni to replace the suddenly ousted Nate McMillan, which would give a needed jolt to [Victor] Oladipo and Myles Turner. But there’s no guarantee they get D’Antoni — even with his contract in Houston about to expire and pressure mounting on the Rockets’ coach with a Game 7 looming Wednesday night against Chris Paul and the Thunder."

ANALYSIS: There have been rumblings all season that D'Antoni's job could be in jeopardy and that anything short of a championship would seal his fate. Now, the Rockets are struggling in the first round and entering a Game 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Based on all of the reports, it would be shocking if D'Antoni is back on Houston's sideline next season. However, there are plenty of job openings right now and D'Antoni could be a highly coveted candidate if he becomes available.
