ANALYSIS: After spending over 20 years as an assistant coach between four different organizations, Silas will rightfully receive his opportunity to be at the head of the coaching table. His longest tenure with a team was during his second stint in Charlotte, where he held the title of associate head coach with Steve Clifford.

If Houston returns its same core, Silas will have a plethora of talent to work with, spearheaded of course by James Harden and Russell Westbrook.

Stephen is the son of former longtime NBA head coach, Paul Silas -- who helped his son get a foot in the door as an assistant after originally entering the league as a scout. Stephen was 27 years old, the youngest assistant ever in league history at the time.

Fast-forward two decades later and Stephen will now lead his own Rockets team.
