Giannis (ankle) out for Game 5

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo is inactive for Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals Tuesday against the Miami Heat because of a sprained right ankle.

Antetokounmpo clearly tried to get himself ready for Game 5. He was on the court about two hours before game time, getting some shots up, then did strength and flexibility work with a member of the Bucks' staff.

Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer watched the on-court session closely before the team made the final decision.

ANALYSIS: The Bucks officially ruled Giannis inactive because of a re-aggravated right ankle sprain that he suffered in Game 4. Giannis will miss his first playoff game of the 2020 postseason.

Antetokounmpo was avergaing 26.7 points and 13.8 rebounds per game for the Bucks in the playoffs. Milwaukee will look to extend their season without their reigning MVP.
