Jerami Grant hopes to re-sign with Denver

Jerami Grant wants to be back with the Denver Nuggets next season. Whether that happens may be up to Nuggets president of basketball operations Tim Connelly. Grant, who is expected to opt out of his player option, according to a league source, made himself invaluable throughout the Nuggets’ postseason run.

ANALYSIS: Jerami Grant is expected to opt out of the final $9,346,153 on his contract and become an unrestricted free agent. After proving his worth during Denver's playoff run, he's hoping to sign a lucrative, long-term deal. Grant was great for the Nuggets this postseason, as he averaged 12.3 points and 3.5 rebounds in just over 34 minutes per game.

The Nuggets will need to decide if they are willing to pay what Grant's asking price, which is reportedly $16 million a year. Grant is expected to draw interest from around the league if negotiations stall with Denver.
