Caris LeVert undergoes surgery on kidney, out indefinitely

According to a team press release, Indiana Pacers wing Caris LeVert underwent successful surgery on Monday to treat renal cell carcinoma of his left kidney. The surgery was performed by Dr. Jason Sprunger at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind. No further treatment is needed. Caris is expected to make a full recovery and will be out indefinitely. 

LeVert was acquired by the Indiana Pacers from the Brooklyn Nets in the four-team trade involving James Harden. In 12 contests this season, the 6-foot-6 scorer was averaging 18.5 points and 6.0 assists per game.
