Rockets guarantee $2.3 million salary for DeMarcus Cousins

The Houston Rockets have guaranteed the DeMarcus Cousins' $2.3 million salary for the remainder of the 2020-21 season.

ANALYSIS: Cousins is signed to the veteran minimum on a one-year deal in Houston. The 30-year-old center has come a long way after battling a number of significant injuries in his career, including a torn ACL that sidelined him all of 2019-20. Cousins has struggled to make a consistent impact on the Rockets and is shooting just 37.6 percent from the floor. He is averaging 9.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.
