ANALYSIS: Giles was one of the more intriguing young big men on the free-agent market just purely on his potential. Granted he didn't get much of an opportunity in Sacramento to blossom, there are plenty of tools in his bag. The former No. 1 high school prospect and 2017 first-rounder is an excellent passer and has a slender frame that allows him to sneak around the floor. His offensive game all comes from within the paint, and he has a knack for leaping to grab rebounds despite his previous injury history.

Giles should fit in perfectly with Portland's bench chock-full of young talents such as Gary Trent Jr., Anfernee Simons, Nassir Little.
