Four NBA players test positive for COVID-19 over past week

Of the 498 players tested for COVID-19 since Dec. 30, four new players have returned confirmed positive tests, the NBA announced this afternoon.

Anyone who has returned a confirmed positive test is isolated until they are cleared for leaving isolation under the rules established by the NBA and the Players Association in accordance with CDC guidance.

ANALYSIS: Four is still a relatively low number, but the league must stay vigilant with its protocols and safety guidelines to continue to get through this season. The NBA tightened up those rules in the past week, so we'll see how that affects the situation going forward.
