NBA fines Marcus Morris $15,000 for cursing at referee

Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris Sr. has been fined $15,000 for directing inappropriate language toward a game official, it was announced today by NBA Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations Joe Dumars.

The incident occurred at the conclusion of the Clippers’ 128-115 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on January 6 at Target Center.  

This season, Morris is averaging 13.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.1 threes and 1.7 assists in 29.4 minutes per game.

The Clippers are 21-21, which is the sixth-best record in the Western Conference.

Los Angeles boasts the NBA's eighth-best defense (allowing 109.1 points per 100 possessions), but their offense is ranked 27th in the league (scoring just 108.2 points per 100 possessions).
