NBA announces 2023 Skills Challenge participants

The NBA officially announced the players who will compete in the 2023 Skills Challenge during NBA All-Star Saturday Night in Utah. 

Team Antetokounmpo will feature brothers Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Thanasis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks) and Alex Antetokounmpo (Wisconsin Herd).

Team Jazz will feature Utah Jazz teammates Collin Sexton, Walker Kessler and Jordan Clarkson.

Team Rooks will feature star rookies Paolo Banchero (Orlando Magic), Jabari Smith Jr. (Houston Rockets and Jaden Ivey (Detroit Pistons).

The Skills Challenge is a three-round competition where players form three teams. Round 1 is Team Relay, Round 2 is Team Passing and Round 3 is Team Shooting. The team with the most ”Challenge Points” after three rounds wins. If a tiebreaker is needed, teams shoot from half-court.

Last year, Team Cavs (consisting of Jarrett Allen, Darius Garland and Evan Mobley) won the 2022 Skills Challenge in front of their hometown fans.

The 2023 Skills Challenge will air on TNT on Feb. 18 at 8 p.m. ET as part of All-Star Saturday Night.
