Mac McClung wins 2024 NBA Slam Dunk Contest

For the second year in a row, Mac McClung won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest.

McClung defeated Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown in the championship round, dunking over Shaquille O'Neal and earning 50s across the board in his final dunk. This was the only perfect score of the evening.

McClung became the fifth back-to-back dunk contest champion in NBA history, joining Zach LaVine, Michael Jordan, Nate Robinson and Jason Richardson.

The dunk contest was underwhelming, with many fans and even reigning MVP Joel Embiid sharing their disappointment and jokes online.
