LeBron James will not be suspended for violating league health protocols

LeBron James won't be suspended for protocols violation, sources tell ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski (via Twitter). "The nature of the event didn't rise to a threat level of virus spread," added Woj.

As reported by Dave McMenamin of ESPN, James was found to have violated the league's health and safety protocols when he attended a promotional event for a tequila brand this past week. Other celebrities such as Drake and actor Michael B. Jordan were in attendance, and photos from the event hit social media.

Fans were quick to point out that nobody was wearing masks or social distancing, but as McMenamin noted in his piece, "Invitees had to produce proof of vaccination or a recent negative test result in order to attend."

James and the Lakers play the Phoenix Suns on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
