LeBron James thought of joining Knicks before signing with Lakers?

On Brian Windhorst & The Hoop Collective Podcast, Lisa Robinson of Vanity Fair said that LeBron James initially preferred the New York Knicks over the Los Angeles Lakers when considering his free-agency options in 2018.

"We heard that LeBron wanted to come to New York," she said. "And I have really good sources about this, that he was thinking about coming to New York but that his wife wanted to be in Los Angeles, wanted the kids to go to school in Los Angeles, and that just kiboshed the whole thing."

James ultimately decided to sign a four-year, $154 million deal with the Lakers in the summer of 2018.
