LeBron: Goal is to own NBA franchise
LeBron James made waves in the sports world yesterday when it was reported that he is now a part-owner of the Boston Red Sox. James already is a part-owner of Liverpool, a European soccer team. Joining James in this venture is close friend and business partner Maverick Carter.
After the Los Angeles Lakers' win over Minnesota on Tuesday night James made more news when he was asked about the new purchase of the Red Sox.

It has always been thought that James could be the next former NBA player to enter ownership, joining Michael Jordan as the owner of the Hornets. With this move to become part-owner of the Red Sox, that possibility feels more realistic than ever.
