Lakers have 'edge' over Nets to land Andre Drummond?

There is a growing belief around the league that the Los Angeles Lakers have an edge over the Nets to sign Drummond if he makes it to free agency, and the Heat are widely regarded as the leaders to sign Aldridge.

ANALYSIS: Andre Drummond hasn't played an NBA game since February 13th, with Cleveland electing to hold the big man out until they find a trade partner for him. Well fast forward about a month and a half later, and the former All-Star is still dressing in street clothes every night for the Cavs. It seems like the teams that have interest in acquiring Drummond are also the teams that are in no position to trade for him and absorb his contract. The most likely outcome from this is a buyout situation like we saw with Blake Griffin and the Pistons. If that is the case, Drummond will be deciding between the Lakers or Nets once he becomes a free agent, as he is eager to pursue his first championship.
