The Los Angeles Lakers could be looking at a luxury tax in excess of $100 million next season, depending on how the offseason plays out.

ANALYSIS: The Lakers did not have to pay a luxury tax after winning the championship last season, but could run into the tax with numerous players hitting free agency in the offseason. Dennis Schroder is eligible for a contract extension, and should L.A. resign the point guard, his deal will join new cap hits from LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Montrezl Harrell, Kantavious Caldwell-Pope and others. Talen Horton-Tucker and Alex Caruso will also be free agent in the offseason and could receive sizeable pay raises.
