Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr. returning in 'not too distant future'

Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray and small forward Michael Porter Jr. are both expected to return from their injuries "in the not too distant future," team president of basketball operations Tim Connelly said on 92.5 GM Altitude Sports Radio in Denver.

Murray, 24, underwent surgery last April to repair a torn ACL in his left knee. Porter Jr, 23, underwent lumbar spine surgery on Dec. 1.

ANALYSIS: Last season, Murray averaged 21.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists through 48 games. This season, Porter Jr. averaged 9.9 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists in nine games.
