Isaiah Thomas to sign 10-day contract with Lakers

Isaiah Thomas is signing with the Los Angeles Lakers, sources tell The Athletic.

ANALYSIS: Charania adds that the Lakers are adding Thomas via the hardship exception and signing him to a 10-day contract. Thomas exploded for 42 points, eight assists and six rebounds in his G League debut last night. He has not played in NBA action since making three appearances with the New Orleans Pelicans last season. Thomas appeared in 17 games with the Lakers during the 2017-18 season.

The Lakers have had several players enter COVID-19 health and safety protocols as of late, including Dwight Howard and Talen Horton-Tucker.
