Fischer: Hawks and Spurs remain 'engaged' on Collins-for-Murray trade

San Antonio and Atlanta remain engaged on trade conversations regarding a larger deal centered around Dejounte Murray and John Collins, according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report.

ANALYSIS: "Larger" should be the word everyone should pay specific attention to Does that mean more players will be involved on both ends or does it mean that more teams will be involved? Or both? It makes sense why Atlanta wants Murray. Acquiring him fits their schemes of having a shot creator who can playmaker, but Murray is an excellent defender on top of that.

On San Antonio's end, Collins is an above-average player, but trading Murray for him feels like a lateral move at best. That is unless their plan is to re-route Collins to another team to kickstart a rebuild, which feels more and more like a viable option for the Spurs.
